A Grand Adventure
Friday July 12 - Sunday July 14 Parshall, CO
Don’t miss this weekend bikepack adventuring through beautiful Grand County and off the beaten path. This mixed terrain route meanders along beautiful rivers - including the mighty Colorado, through timbered forest, and past historic homesteads that have been in the family for decades. Views of Byer’s Peak will peep out of the horizon as we whiz by wildflowers and probably a cow or two. The last night of the trip you’ll soak your tired legs at historic Hot Sulphur Hot Springs - one of the oldest in Colorado, before sleeping under the stars.
*Note: There is a 10 rider minimum to run this trip.

What to expect
A welcoming, inclusive, supportive, and judgement-free space to adventure together and build community on the trail.
We are NO DROP kind of gals! We will be regrouping often at meeting points/junctions. You will always be riding with a trip leader to support you and cheer you on. Aside from riding we will be camping together, eating together and being badass together!
A gravel bike or mountain bike is recommended.
Route is mostly smooth gravel, a small amount of pavement, and chunkier 4x4 doubletrack
Riding mileage
Day 1 - Approximately 20 miles and 2000ft of climbing. Some pavement, mostly gravel.
Day 2 - Approximately 41 miles and 3900ft of climbing. Well graded gravel.
Day 3 - 8 miles and 1000ft of climbing. Gravel with a little pavement.
There will be sections where we are pushing our bike for about a mile or so.
Riders on this route should feel comfortable with both smooth and more technical gravel terrain, steep hike-a-bike sections, and longer days in the saddle.
Who is this trip for?
All gals (cis or transgender) and non-binary individuals who identify with the women’s community
What is the plan?
Friday - Everyone will meet in the morning at the ranch for introductions and a packing party where we help you with the puzzle that is packing your bike for the weekend. We will hit the trail mid-day, stopping along the way for lunch and plenty of breaks. We will roll into camp, set up tents, get cozy, and eat a yummy backcountry group dinner. Enjoy conversation with new friends before sleeping under the stars.
Saturday - Take a leisurely morning at camp, eat some breakfast, pack up, and set off for the day’s ride. We will continue a friendly pace, stopping for water, snacks, lunch, and dance parties along the way. End the route with some hike-a-bike uphill and a doubletrack descent as we make our way into Hot Sulphur Springs. Set up camp and then walk across the bridge to enjoy a well-earned soak at Historic Hot Sulphur Springs. After soaking, you will enjoy a special dinner at camp: set up and prepared by your Galpackas Trip Leaders for you to really experience that trail magic.
Sunday - Enjoy some breakfast then pack up camp. Hit the trail to finish our route and savor the last day of riding as we traverse the Parshall Divide. Back to the ranch mid afternoon to celebrate our accomplishment!
*Please note: our routes are subject to change depending on trail conditions, permitting changes, etc. We will keep you updated if anything changes.
